Transitions - between spaces

A window, seen as opening in the wall, is a transition between the space inside and outside of this wall.

A trainstation is a metaphorical window, as it in itself is a space of transition between two places.

The actual windows in this space of transition do not just have the function to let light and air in,
while the weatherconditions stay out, they tell us about the place we are leaving or arriving to.

 

These openings are mostly neglected, forgotten or overseen, but they are like architectual eyes
reminding us about what is left behind or showing us a preview of what is waiting.
